How a claim works
An accident is stressful enough. Here's how we take the insurance side off your hands, step by step.
You can choose us
The choice of repairer is yours by law, not your insurer's. Even if they point you elsewhere, you're entitled to have your car repaired at Durbanville Bodyworks.
Open a claim with your insurer
Report the accident to your insurance company and get your claim number. Not sure how? Phone us and we'll talk you through it.
Bring the car in
Drop it at 95 De Villiers Drive during opening hours, with your claim number and ID. We assess the damage properly and take photos for the claim.
We quote and liaise
We prepare the assessment and quote and deal with your insurer's process for you, so you're not stuck in the back-and-forth.
We repair and spray
Panel, structural and paint work, done to manufacturer standard and colour-matched in our booth.
Collect, guaranteed
You settle any agreed excess, collect your car, and it's backed by our lifetime paint and three-year workmanship guarantees.
